Jackie Andrew Boothe

     Jackie Andrew Boothe passed away on September 4, 2022 at the age of 85 after a six year battle with Parkinson’s disease and dementia.

     Born at Anjean on June 3, 1937 he a son of the late Lawrence Lee Boothe, Sr. and Rosa Gaye Gould Boothe.

     Jack was a faithful hard laborer at Permold Corporation in Medina, where he poured aluminum castings for 37 years.  He enjoyed singing southern gospel quartet music and was a member of two quartets at different times in his life.  He loved singing the hymns on the bass line and enjoyed singing in the choir and solo specials as well. Jack was an avid hunter, fisherman, coin collector and can recycler. Most of all, he loved his family and his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  He was privileged to go on two work and witness mission trips to Jamaica.  These were big highlights of his life.

     Jack was preceded in death by all of his siblings and his wife of 62 years, Wilda Fern Grimmett Boothe who passed away in 2018 of cancer.

     He is survived by his uncle, Ronnie Boothe; several nieces and nephews; his daughter and beloved son-in-law, Karla and Bob Dearth of Fredericksburg, Virginia, as well as his only son, Dennis Scott Boothe of Dresden, Ohio; five grandchildren, Robert, Greg, Jonathan, Tiffany and Cody and five great grandchildren.  Our loss is Heaven’s gain.  I can almost hear him singing in the Heavenly Choir!

     Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, September 10, 2022 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Fred Fryar officiating.  Friends may call from noon until time of services on Saturday at the funeral parlors.
