Jackie Lee Crook Sr., 72, of Nimitz went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at his home following a long illness.
Born January 24, 1941 at Nimitz he was a son of the late Reverend Orville W. and Lucille Hall Crook.
Jackie dearly loved the Lord and attended Faith Baptist Church in Oakvale. He also sponsored several children through World Vision Ministries.
He was the owner and operator of JSB Sales in Nimitz and a former school bus driver for Summers County schools. Jackie enjoyed motorcycling, eating healthy, fitness and exercise. He also loved spending time with his children, family, friends, and his dog Trixie.
Other than his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, James Crook.
Those left to cherish his memory include his beloved wife of 38 years, Shelda J. Bennett Crook; six children: Deborah A. Bennett and husband Daniel of Streetsboro, OH, Terry Lynn Baich of Cleveland, OH, Jason Crook of Princeton, Jackie L. Crook II and wife Tina of Hinton, Aaron Crook and wife Whitney of Princeton and Brian T. Crook of Princeton; nine grandchildren, Angela, Melissa, Brandon, Jacob, Jeffry, Ryan, Nicole, Laura, and Katie; six great grandchildren, Alexis, Isaiah, Christian, Jasmine, Aiden and Mason; one sister, Ruth Pitchford and husband Bob of San Diego, CA; two brothers, Orville Ray Crook and wife Betty of Chesapeake Bay, VA and Bobby Crook of Kernersville, NC; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 4, 2013 at Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Terry Lambert officiating. Burial will follow in the Restwood Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit at the funeral parlors from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Arrangements are by the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors of Hinton.
