Jackie Lee Cyrus, 67 of Nimitz died Saturday, September 18, 2010 at the Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital following a long illness.
Born February 21, 1943 at Grassy Meadows he was a son of the late Walter Franklin and Burl Elizabeth Parker Cyrus.
Jackie was a resident of Summers County most of his life working as a timber man and prior to retirement he worked at a brick making facility in North Carolina.
He was preceded in death by his brother Edward Franklin Cyrus in 2007.
He is survived by his daughter Beverly Cyrus and his granddaughter Felicia both of Ramp. One brother Melvin Cyrus of Bellepoint and one sister Juanita Day of Salisbury, NC and several half brothers and sisters.
Graveside services and burial will be held at 6 PM Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at the McElhanney Cemetery at Grassy Meadows with Pastor Melvin Wills officiating. There will be no visitation.
