James Bryson

James William Bryson, 87, of Hilldale, passed away, May 26, 2012 at the Summers Co. Appalachian Regional Hospital, following a short illness.
Born November 6, 1924 in Summers County, he was a son of the late James W. Bryson Sr. and Lenna D. Williams Bryson.
He was a lifelong resident of Summers Co. and retired from the C&O Railroad after 40 years of service.
Preceding him in death include his wife of 50 years, Clara I. Bryson; two grandsons, James Dwayne McKinney and Brian Keith Hodge; one special nephew, Gary Clinton Brookman and three sisters, Corrine Smith, Betty Westfall and Jeanie Stocktil.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children; Carolyn Campbell of Hilldale, William ?Bill? Hodge and wife Delsie of Covington, VA, and Wanda Lester of White Sulphur Springs; four grandchildren, Bradley, Angie, Stephen and Adam; six great grandchildren, Taran, Harleigh, Chris, Knesha, Tara and Landon; two brothers, Robert ?Bobby? Bryson and wife Bertie and Harry Bryson and wife Sharon and one sister, Carol Anderson and husband Ronald.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Joe Spencer officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenbrier Burial Park in Hinton. Friends may call at the funeral parlors from noon until time of services on Tuesday. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
