James ?Buddy? Brent Burdette, 73, of Meadow Creek died Saturday, June 25, 2011 at his home following a long illness.
Born July 22, 1937 at Meadow Creek he was a son of the late Curtis and Brent Gwinn Burdette.
Buddy was a lifelong resident of Summers Co., a retired brakeman for the C&O Railroad and a member of the Meadow Creek Baptist Church. He loved to collect knives and guns, riding his four wheeler, gardening and was an avid story teller.
Preceding him in death is his first wife, Doris Jean Dillon Garten and an infant brother.
Those left to cherish his memory include one daughter, one grandson, one granddaughter and one great grandson.
Memorial services will be 1 PM Saturday, July 2, 2011 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Harry Allen officiating. Friends may call at the funeral parlor from noon until time of services on Saturday.
