James E. Martin

 James E. Martin, 64, of Forest Hill went home to be with the Lord Thursday, February 20, 2025 at Princeton Community Hospital following a long illness.

 Born July 17, 1960 in Hinton, WV he was a son of Nellie M. Meadows Martin of Forest Hill, and the late William “Billy” Martin.

 James was a lifelong resident of Summers County. He enjoyed muscle cars, hunting, fishing, and spending time with family and friends.

 He was preceded in death by one sister; Barbara Sue Martin.

 Besides his mother, those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Carolyn Sue Martin; two sons, Jeremiah Martin and Joseph Martin; one grandson, Jacob Weikle; one sister, Mary Jane Martin Weikle and husband Joe; two brothers, Robert Ray Martin and wife Robin, Tommy Lee Martin and wife Valeria; stepchildren, Edwin Goddard and Tabitha Goddard; step grandchildren, Skyler, Remington, Ethan, Lane, and Ian.

 Funeral Services will be 1:00 Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Rick Hamrick officiating. Burial will follow in the Martin Family Cemetery at Forest Hill. Visitation will be from noon until time of services on Tuesday at the funeral parlors. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
