James Michael ?Mike? Harris, 54, of Nimitz went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at CAMC General Division following a long illness.
Born December 7, 1957 at Hinton he was the son of the late Jesse ?Jim? and Margeurite Lilly Harris. Mike was talented at many trades including coal miner, truck driver, heavy equipment operator, EMT and most recently as a pipe layer engineer. He Loved riding his four wheeler and spending time with his family and friends.
Preceded in death by one sister, Patricia Susan Harris.
Those left to cherish his memory include four children, Jennifer Harris of Beckley, James Michael Harris Jr. and wife Missy of Nimitz, William Chase Whittaker and wife Shelby of Jumping Branch and Jesse Hunter Harris of Jumping Branch, and seven grandchildren, Erin, Sarah, Devin, Derek, Danyil, Thaddaeus and Luke.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 23, 2012 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Jennifer Harris officiating. Burial will follow in the J. P. Lilly Cemetery at Jumping Branch. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Friday June 22, 2012 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors.
Harold Williams Jr., Nicky Dale Sizemore, James Michael Harris Jr., Derek J. Adler, Robert Boone and Chris Leigh will serve as pallbearers.
