James Jeffries

James F. (Jim) Jeffries of Fayetteville passed away July 20, 2011 after a long illness. He was born in Hinton on June 3, 1933 to Jesse B. and Sadie Spencer Jeffries. In 1963 he moved to Fayetteville where he retired after working 45 years for Kroger and attended the Fayetteville Church of God while his health permitted.
Those preceding him in death besides his parents are an infant daughter, Lisa Carol; one brother, Jack Jeffries and wife Janie and one sister, Georgia Surface and husband Raymond.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Parker Jeffries; three sons, James F. (Bo) Jeffries Jr. and wife Pam of Hinton, Matthew Jeffries and wife Joni of Fayetteville, and Mark Jeffries and wife Sherri of Clarksburg; seven grandchildren, Eric of Jumping Branch, Jesse and Jacob of Hinton, Garrett and Colton of Fayetteville, Noah and Kelsey of Clarksburg, two great granddaughters; Delanie and Makayla.
Graveside services and burial will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday July 23, 2011 at the Woodrum Cemetery near Hinton with Russ Hayes of the Fayetteville Church of God officiating. Friends are asked to gather at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors from 10 A.M. until departure to the cemetery. The family requests that no flowers be sent, although donations of sympathy may be sent to the Fayetteville First Church of God Multipurpose Building Fund on 114 Harvey Street, Fayetteville WV 25840.
