James Victor "Vic" Kirby, 48, of Wayside went home to be with the Lord Sunday, August 23, 2015 at Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital following an extended illness.
Born September 1, 1966 at Clifton Forge, VA he is the son of James Ronald and Margaret Abbott Kirby of Wayside.
Victor was a member of the War Ridge Free Will Baptist Church and the former owner, operator and truck driver for Kirby's Logging. He was a gracious and caring man that loved his family, friends and working in his garage and was always grateful for the blessings God had bestowed upon him throughout his life.
Victor was preceded in death by an infant child.
Besides his parents, those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 15 years, Patricia Ann Brown Kirby; son, James Dalton Kirby; sister, Juanita Rhodes and husband Neal of Sinks Grove; two nieces, Jade Canterbury of Hollywood and Harley Banks of Sinks Grove; great nephew, Johnathan Blaze Canterbury of Hollywood; mother in laws, Opal Cody of Wayside and Melinda Griffith.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, August 27, 2015 at War Ridge Free Will Baptist Church with Pastor Roger Brammer and Pastor Allen Hilton officiating. Burial will follow in the Creamery Cemetery. Friends may call from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday at the War Ridge Free Will Baptist Church.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Arrangements are by the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors of Hinton.
