James â??Samboâ?? Pitzer, 55, of Tug Creek died Saturday September 8, 2007 at his home. Born May 16, 1952 at Hinton he was a son of the late Thomas Pitzer and Willowvee Pitzer Cyrus and stepfather James Cyrus. A skilled logger, heavy equipment operator and mechanic for Lane Trucking with 20 years of service who had a real love for operating his bulldozer. James was of the Protestant Faith. Survived by a son, Tommy J. Pitzer and wife Mary Jo of Hinton; two daughters, Becky Ballard and husband James of Hinton and Ashley Pitzer of Ohio; five grandchildren, Jessica, Macy Jo and Karrigan Pitzer, Kennedy Crisp and Billy Bob Ballard; two brothers, Charles Pitzer and wife Diane of Tug Creek and Basil Cyrus and wife Diane of Hinton; two sisters, Vivian Falin of Bluefield and Mary Vanwinkle and husband Jim of Los Angeles, CA; special niece, Stacey Pitzer and a special nephew, Charles Pitzer Jr.; several other nieces and nephews and one special great nephew, Tyler Pitzer. Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 11, 2007 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Melvin Wills officiating. Burial will follow in the Sears Family Cemetery at Tug Creek. Friends may call at the funeral parlors from noon till time of the service on Tuesday. Charles Pitzer Jr., Calvin Lane, Gene Lilly, Ronald Ward, Jimmy Lilly and Eddie Richmond will serve as pallbearers. Jack Ashley, Jack , Ronald and Paul Allen Sears will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Viewing Information: Noon till time of service on Tuesday at the Funeral Parlors.
Funeral Information: 1:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Funeral Parlors.
