James W. Richmond, 75, of Canton, OH, died Friday, May 12, 2006 at his home, following an extended illness. Born December 9, 1930 in Hinton, he was the son of the late Burman and Delilah Mock Richmond. Mr. Richmond had been a resident of Canton since 1966. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He retired from Quaker State Oil Company in 1992 following 20 years of service. Member of the Ohio VFW, Amvets Post #124 and the Army-Navy Club #150. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jacqueline E. Richmond; three step-sons; two brothers and six sisters. Survived by one daughter Kimberly Anderson and husband Andy of Indianapolis, IN; one son, Jim Richmond of Indianapolis, IN; two stepsons, Donald Long and wife Gloria of Alliance, OH, Philip Long and wife Donna of Charlotte, NC; two step-daughters, Faye Krager and husband Jack of Atwater, OH, Margaret Spurrier and husband Jeff of Canton, OH; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and his canine companion, Tequila. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel in Hinton with Pastor Tim Spencer officiating. Burial will follow in the Elk Knob Cemetery. Friends called at the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home in Canton, OH from 6-8 P.M. Monday and may call at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors in Hinton from noon until service time on Wednesday.
