James L. "Woody" Wood, 63, of Crab Orchard went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, September 8, 2015.
Born August 17, 1952 at Shady Spring, he was a son of the late Hulda and Golden Wood.
Woody proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps., lived life to the fullest and loved his family.
He is preceded in death by his oldest brother, Ballard Wood.
Those left to cherish his memory include his five daughters; Amanda Hart, Julia Wood, Stephanie Scott and husband Thomas, Goldie Masciarelli and husband Richard, Brianna Wood and fiance' Josh Fleming; ten grandchildren; thirteen siblings and his best friend and dog, Pistol.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday September 11, 2015 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Robbie Merritt officiating. Burial will follow in the Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in Beckley. Friends may call at the funeral parlors from 12:00 P.M. until time of services Friday at the funeral parlors. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
