Jason Deaver

Jason Charles Deaver, 28, of Lerona, died Friday, August 01, 2008 at the Roanoke Memorial Hospital, Roanoke, VA, following a short illness. Born October 10, 1979 at Princeton, WV he was the son of Charles and Theresa Jo Strattis Deaver of Lerona. He attended the Church of Christ at Lerona; a former employee of Pipestem State Park where he worked on the Tram. He had worked several jobs in the tri-county area. Jason was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt and fish. He is preceded in death by his Maternal Grandfather, Jim Strattis and his Paternal Grandparents, Herman T. and Lottie Belle Gill Deaver. Besides his parents he is survived by his maternal grandmother, Jackie Strattis of Pipestem; two aunts, Vanessa Strattis and husband Richard Derby of Pipestem and Kitty Bragg and husband Bill of Pence Springs; one brother, Bill Deaver and wife Vicky of Marie and several cousins. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, August 4, 2008 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Robbie Merritt officiating. Entombment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Park. Friends may call at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors from 6-8 P.M. Sunday. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
