Jeannette Penix

Jeannette Yvonne Penix, 82, of Piney View gained her angel wings and went home to be with the Lord Monday, March 7, 2022 at Summers Nursing and Rehabilitation Center following a long battle with Parkinsons and kidney problems.

Born October 22, 1939 at Beckley she was a daughter of the late Leslie Wilson and Lennis J. Privett Farley.

Jeannette was a homecare worker who specialized in working with children with autism. She enjoyed working puzzles, helping others and giving to others. She loved going to yard sales, her flowers and taking care of her pet companion, Chandler.

Jeannette was preceded in death by one brother, Donald Farley.

She is survived by one son, James Penix; two grandsons; one sister, Marjorie Burks of Forest Hill, WV; five brothers, Ronald R. Farley and wife Charlotte of Shawsville, VA, James (Jim) Farley and wife Mable of Loraine, OH, Tom Farley and wife Marie of Raines Corner, Monroe County, WV,  William (Bill) Farley and wife Rhonda of Bim, Boone County, WV and John Farley and wife Tammy of Kings Mountain, NC and a host of nieces and nephews.

Jeannette will be sadly missed by all that knew her.

Graveside services and burial will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, March 10, 2022 at Roles Chapel Cemetery with Pastor Robbie Merritt officiating. Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery from 10:30 A.M. until time of services. There will be no visitation.
