Jennings Everett “Jinky” Wheeler, 72, of Elk Knob went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at his home following a long illness.
Born December 31, 1949 at Hinton he was the son of the late Harold Jennings and Ruby Grimmett Wheeler. Jinky proudly served his country in the United States Army National Guard and the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He was the former owner and operator of National Roofing and Construction and enjoyed woodworking and spending time with family and friends.
Preceded in death by granddaughter, Abigail Reann Wheeler and sister, Jo Ann Vandall.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 52 years, Linda Faye Wheeler of Elk Knob; son, Harold Jennings “Rocky” Wheeler and wife Sherri of Elk Knob; grandchildren, Hailey Via and husband Andrew of Ballard, Caleb Wheeler, Samuel Wheeler and Johnny Wheeler all of Elk Knob; great grandchildren, Clayton and Jocelyn Via of Ballard; sister, Jean Mills of Clayton; brother, James “Buzzy” Wheeler of Clayton; brother-in-law, Jerry Vandall; his “Cuz”, Diane Holland and numerous friends and family whom he dearly loved.
Memorial services will be held 1:00 pm Saturday, January 29, 2022 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Mark Bayle officiating. Friends may call from noon until time of the services on Saturday at the funeral parlors.
