Jerry Eggleston

Jerry Allen Eggleston, 71, of Hinton went home to be with the Lord January 13, 2018 at Summers County Appalachian Regional Hospital following a sudden heart attack.
Born May 14, 1946 at Hinton he was a son of the late James and JoAnn Lilly Eggleston.
Jerry was a born again Christian who attended Upland Baptist Church where he served as a Wednesday evening bible study teacher. He was a retired employee of the Summers County Board of Education with 31 years of service. Jerry enjoyed helping neighbors and friends and spending time with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by an infant son, Jerry Allen Eggleston Jr. and one sister, Polly Turner.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 45 years, Nora "Tiny" Bragg Eggleston; two daughters, Melissa Spencer and husband Jimmy of Mt. Hope and Mary Ann Eggleston and companion Luther Wills of Tug Creek; two brothers, Bobby Eggleston and wife Tammy of Ripley and Jimmy Eggleston of Hinton; one sister, Gloria Jean Taylor and husband Johnny of Hinton; his church family; two special friends, Denny and Drema Andrews of Hinton and a host of friends.
A Celebration of Jerry's Life will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are by the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors of Hinton.
