Jerry Ordman Sears, 64, of Pence Springs went home to be with the Lord Sunday, January 27, 2019 at Greenbrier Medical Center following a long illness.
Born October 2, 1954 on the Jerret Farm at Raiders Valley in Greenbrier County, he was a son of the late Woodrow Wilson Sears and Goldie M. Cooper Sears Wyrick.
Jerry was a track foreman for the Chessie System Railroad. He was a member of Pence Springs Community Church. Jerry enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family and beloved pets.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry Sears and John Robert Rudisill and two sisters, Linda Henley and Ann Hedrick.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 36 years, Norma Lee "Susie" Sears at home; two sons, Brandon Jerret Sears of White Sulphur Springs and Paul Sears of South Carolina; two grandchildren; beloved canine, Katie Jo; one brother, Eddie Rudisill and wife Lisa of Pence Springs and several special cousins whom he loved dearly.
Graveside service and burial will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at the Haven of Rest Cemetery at Pence Springs with Pastor Roger Persinger officiating. Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery from 12:30 P.M. until time of services. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
