Jess Willard Meadows, 64, of Hinton, formerly of Forest Hill died Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at the Princeton Community Hospital following a long illness.
Born January 13, 1946 at Talcott, WV he was a son of the late William Brady Meadows and Ella Catherine Jones Meadows, currently of Hinton. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing with family and friends. An apprentice of the late George Milburn, he worked as an electrician and plumber with Ralph Jones Contracting and was then self employed for many years until he retired in 1998.
Besides his father, he is preceded in death by one son, John Wayne Meadows and his beloved in-laws, John and Madeline Burnett.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 44 years, Brenda Burnett Meadows of Hinton; one daughter, Edha Meadows ? Brown and husband Jason of Maryville, TN; one brother, Dallas Meadows and wife Kayetta of Simpsonville, SC; one grandson, Brady Meadows of Athens.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM Saturday, April 3, 2010 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastors David Board and Joe Spencer officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery at Ballengee. Friends may call from 6-8 PM Friday at the funeral parlors. Serving as pallbearers will be his grandson, Brady Meadows; nephews, Drew and Jared Meadows, Donald Bragg, Eugene Jones and best friend, Roy Cooper. In lieu of flowers donations of sympathy may be made to the Princeton Community Hospital Foundation ? Hospitality House.
