Jesse Roger "Rook" Ward, 78, of Florida formerly of Hinton entered into eternal rest Friday November 7, 2014 at the Auburndale, FL Hospice following a sudden illness.
Born August 19, 1936 at Glade, WV he was a son of the late Jesse H. Ward and Virginia Edna Richmond Ward.
Jesse was a former machinist for Penn Central Railroad and a US Army Veteran. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by six siblings; Travis, Beechie, Steve, Eugondia and Bradley Ward and Blondina Lamby.
He is survived by three brothers; Ronald Ward of Auburndale, FL, Jimmy Ward and wife Betty of Geneva, OH and Melton Ward and fiancé Mitzi Robbins of VA and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be 5:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 12, 2014 with Minister Walter Dekle officiating. Family will receive friends following the service. Burial will follow in the Upland Cemetery at a later date.
Arrangements are by the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors of Hinton.
