Joanne Victoria Katimery Duvall

Joanne Victoria Katimery Duvall, age 73 of Marie, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at her home in Marie, WV following a short illness. 

Born June 28, 1949 in Brooklyn, NY; she was the daughter of the late Peter Katimeris and Betty Galanis Farrell.  Joanne was a graduate of East Brunswick High School, NJ. She was employed by Johnson & Johnson, NJ. After moving to WV, Joanne worked at Key Data in addition to several years with the United States Postal Service.  She was also employed at ManTech for over 10 years.  She was a faithful member of the Ascension Episcopal Church in Hinton, WV.  Joanne was an active and devoted community member by volunteering with the Summers County ARH Auxiliary, Main Street Care Activities, Summers County Humane Society, Relay for Life, Walk for Her Lifetime, Reading Camp and Read Aloud WV programs.  She was a member of The Marie Friendship Club and long-term member of the Order of the Eastern Star.  Joanne enjoyed spending time with friends and family, playing cards, talking on the phone, listening to music, reading and watching her favorite shows. She also cherished and enjoyed the companionship of her cats.

In addition to her parents, Joanne was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles J. Duvall. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Nicole E. Duvall and partner Dwayne M. Myers of Marie, WV; Sister, Mary E. Kasipidis of East Brunswick, NJ; Niece, Angeliki Horowitz and partner Mark Lewis of Monroe, NJ. Nephew, Antonio Kasipidis and wife Donna of Piscataway, NJ. Great-Niece, Despina and Great-Nephews, Zachary and Tristan.  She is also survived by several cousins and many dear friends, for she was loved by all who knew her.

Memorial Services will be 1:00 PM on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at Ascension Episcopal Church, Hinton, WV, with Reverend Nancy Martin officiating.  Friends may call from 11:00 AM to the time of services on Saturday at Ascension Episcopal Church.  Online guestbook can be signed, or condolences may be sent to the family at www.ronaldmeadowsfp.com .
