John Buford ?Bud? Gill, 54, of Tug Creek, Hinton, died Sunday afternoon, September 5, 2004 at the Summers Co. Appalachian Regional Hospital, following a long illness.Born July 22, 1950 at Buck, he was a son of the late John Ray and Ada Norene Foster Gill.John was a lifelong resident of Summers Co., he was a member of the Chestnut Grove Baptist Church at Hix and was a handyman.Survived by two sisters, Frances Adkins of Tug Creek, Hinton, and Barbara Miller of Elgood, four brothers, Donald Gill of Red Sulphur Springs, Joe of Tug Creek, and Harless and Roger both of Dayton, VA.Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel in Hinton with Pastor Benny Allen officiating. Burial will follow in the Upland Cemetery near Hinton. Friends may call at the funeral parlors from 6-9 P.M. Tuesday. His neighbors and friends will serve as pallbearers.
