John Wayne Fisher, 64, of War Ridge passed away Monday, August 5, 2013 following a sudden illness.
Born July 4, 1949 at Wiggins he was a son of the late John Andrew and Helen Irene Cooper Fisher.
John had attended Pence Springs Community Church and was a former equipment operator for CSX Railroad with 40 plus years of service. He enjoyed boating, fishing and spending time with his family, friends and beloved dog Rusty.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Amy Fisher; stepson, Kaleb; two sisters, Barbara Arnold and Drema Fisher both of Pence Springs and one uncle, Dee Cooper of Texas. Several cousins and numerous good friends also survive.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday, August 8, 2013 at the Pence Springs Community Church with Pastor Roger Persinger officiating. Burial will follow in the Haven of Rest Cemetery at Pence Springs. Friends may call from 6-8 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral parlors.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
