John Pitzer

John Robert â??Bobâ?? Pitzer, 78, of Hinton died 10:40 A.M. Tuesday, November 7, 2006 at the Summers County Appalachian Regional Hospital following a long illness. Born May 22, 1928 in Monroe County, he was the son of the late Fleet Ellen McCormick Pitzer. A former employee of the Hinton Taxi Co. and was involved in the Evangelistic Outreach Ministry and a devout Christian. Preceded in death by his son, Robert Ray â??Bobbyâ?? Pitzer and one brother, James Pitzer. Survived by two daughters, Mrs. Peggy Cales and husband Roger of Waynesboro, Pa. and Mrs. Linda Caudle and husband Rick of Forest Hill, two sisters, Hester Berry of Bridgeton, N.J. and Mildred Lowery of Hilldale, one brother, Roger Pitzer of Marlinton, five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday, November 10, 2006 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Bishop James Brookes officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery at Ballengee. Friends may call 12 noon until time of the service on Friday.
