John Robert Rudisill, 44 of Pence Springs passed away Saturday, March 22, 2008 at his home following an apparent heart attack. Born March 25, 1963 at Pence Springs he was a son of the late Glen Rudisill and Goldie Cooper Rudisill Wyrick. John was a member of Pence Springs Community Church, attended Talcott High School and worked the biggest part of his life as the Assistant Chef at the Riverside Inn and the Pence Springs Hotel, along with several years at the Pence Springs Flea Market. John stayed at home for several years caring for his mother until her death in 2006. He was currently employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant at the Brier Rehab and Nursing Center in Ronceverte. He enjoyed the time he spent with the residents and the staff at the Brier. John had a reputation as a dedicated, loyal and hard worker. He was loved very much by his family and friends, and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Roy and Johnny Rudisill. Survivors include four brothers, Kyle Rudisill and wife Minnie of Forest Hill, Calvin Rudisill and wife Mary of Pence Springs, Jerry Sears and wife Suzie of Pence Springs and Eddie Rudisill and wife Lisa of Alderson; two sisters, Linda Henley and husband Bill of Georgia and Ann Hedrick and husband Dale of Wayside. John was also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins who were all very special to him along with a host of friends. Most of all John will be missed by his companions, Skipper, Scooter and Buttons. Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday March 27, 2008 at the Pence Springs Community Church with Pastor Roger Persinger officiating. Burial will follow in the Haven of Rest Cemetery at Pence Springs. Friends may call from 6-8 P.M. Wednesday at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors in Hinton and at the church one hour prior to service time on Thursday. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Everyone is invited to Ann and Dale Hedrick home following the service on Thursday. Their home is located 3.6 miles on Talcott-Wayside Road from the Talcott side.
