Johnny Richards

Johnny Ray Richards, 73, of Forest Hill and Talcott area went home to be with the Lord Saturday July 24, 2021 at his home following a short illness.

Born November 1, 1947 at Talcott he was the son of the late Jesse Ray and Helen Snead Richards.  A veteran of the United States Army who worked for many years in the Retail Sales Industry until his retirement.  He was an avid golfer who enjoyed sports, and spending time with his family and friends.

Those left to cherish his memory include two daughters, Kimberly Parsons and husband David of Graham, NC and Cathy McMillan and husband Doug of Burlington, NC; two granddaughters, Jasmin Rae McMillan and Kristin McMillan; his companion, Vickie Bateman of Forest Hill; three sisters, Suzzie Jackson and husband Dan of Chesterfield, VA, Libby Mehring and husband Bob of Mebane, NC, and Debra Fox of Pulaski, VA.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Wednesday July 28, 2021 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Glen Kuhn officiating.  Burial will follow in the Ellison Cemetery at Pipestem.  Friends may come from noon until time of services on Wednesday at the funeral parlors.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
