Joseph Leroy â??Joeâ?? Jolliffe, 58, of Hinton, died at 10:15 Am. Saturday, September 15, 2007 at his home, following a long illness. Born January 16, 1949 at Hinton, he was the son of Mrs. Hattie Faye Bragg Jolliffe of Hinton and the late Thomas Benton Jolliffe. Joe was a Timberman, a member of the Freedom Baptist Church on Powleyâ??s Creek and a U.S. Army Veteran of the Viet Nam Conflict. Preceded in death by; two sisters, Ida Mae Jordan and Helen Ayers; one brother, Thomas â??Boâ?? Jolliffe; three nieces, Christina Jolliffe, Regina Jordan and Teresa Ward and one nephew, Thomas Michael Jolliffe. Survived by; one son, Jimmy Williams of Hinton; one daughter Amanda Jolliffe of Hinton; one brother, Bill Jolliffe of Hinton and one sister, Aretha Ward of Pipestem; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. At his request, his body has been cremated. Private services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations of sympathy be made to the American Cancer Society.
