Joseph Glen â??Joeâ?? Woodrum, 43, of Athens, WV and Norman, OK, formerly of Hinton died Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at his apartment in Norman following an apparent heart attack. Born January 24, 1966 at Hinton, he was the son of Mrs. Joan Briers Woodrum Monroe and husband Jim of Hinton and the late Dr. Jack D. Woodrum. Joe was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hinton, Joe was a 1984 graduate of Hinton High School and West Virginia University with degrees in Business Administration and Computer Science.He was currently employed as an IT Merrick Information Tech Analyst II at Oklahoma University and was formerly employed at Concord College and Bluefield State Colleges. Joe was an avid animal lover.Besides his mother and step-father, he is survived by his companion of twenty-one years, Robbie Gearheart of Athens, WV; one brother, Jack David Woodrum and wife Debbie of Hinton; three half brothers, Tom Woodrum and wife Connie of Hinton, Tim Woodrum and wife Christine of Roanoke, VA and Mark Woodrum of Hinton; one half sister, Donna Sue Mock of Hinton and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel in Hinton with Pastors Roy Lee Honaker Jr., Ronald L. Cobb, Roy Carter and D.D. Elwell officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodrumtown Cemetery near Hinton. Friends may call at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors from 5-8 P.M. Monday. His family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Memorial contributions may be made to the WVU Eye Institute, Childrenâ??s Vision Rehabilitation Program, Attn: Paula Lang, P.O.
