Josephine Burnett

Josephine Grimmett Burnett, 82, of Meadow Bridge, died 9:20pm. Saturday June 9, 2007, at Charleston Area Medical Center Memorial Division following a long illness. Born June 23, 1924 at Clifftop, WV, she was the daughter of the late Alonzo Bragg and Nellie Aldridge Bragg Davis. Mrs. Burnett was a member of the Meadow Bridge Missionary Baptist Church and had lived all of her life in Summers and Fayette County. She was a retired x-ray technician at Summers County Hospital and was a former employee of the old Hinton Hospital. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Rev. Rufus Olen Grimmett and by four brothers and six sisters. Survived by her husband Raymond L. Burnett, one son Lt. Col. David O. Grimmett and wife Shirley of Lyndhurst, Va., one sister Maude M. Barnett of Corliss, WV, three grandchildren Bridgette Hager and husband David of Harrisonburg, Va., Andrew O. Grimmett and wife Angie of Youngsville, NC, Alexia Grimmett of Waynesboro, Va., and eight great-grandchildren.
