Juanita Jeneanne Brown Reed, 80, of Hinton, WV passed away Sunday, October 11, 2020 at Main Street Care Hospice at Hinton, following a long illness.
Born December 11, 1939 in Spokane County, Spokane, Washington, she was the daughter of the late Glenn R and Florence PN Brown.
Juanita worked as a Subscription Processor at the Denver Post newspaper in Denver, Colorado for several years, as well as a couple of banks as a Check Encoder before becoming a full time stay-at-home mom. After moving to Hinton in 1981, she helped her late husband run a business for six years. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a faithful Christian that loved the Lord with all her heart.
Preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Harold Reed; one brother, Samuel Brown and two sisters; Tonia Brown and Roma Brown-Bryant, and two step-daughters, Debbie Reed-Larsen and Tammy Reed.
Survived by: one son, William Reed and wife Lynn of Hinton, WV, one daughter, Heather Reed-Schulz and husband Ingo of Maysville, NC , one step-daughter, Brenda Reed of Indianapolis, IN and one brother, Reginald Brown and wife Jo of Grand Junction, CO; Juanita was Nana/Grandma to seven grandchildren: David Frederickson of Franklinton, NC, Brandi Frederickson-Mincey and husband Jeremy of Hope Mills, NC, Joshua Frederickson of Raleigh, NC, Justin Reed of Hinton, WV, Jeremy Reed and wife Heather of Apison, TN, Nicholas Bell of Columbus, GA and Aleesha Bell-Bryce and husband Wayne of Schomberg, Ontario, Canada. Eight great-grandchildren: Piper and Brandon Frederickson of Franklinton, NC, William and Charlotte Mincey of Hope Mills, NC, Odessa Reed of Apison, TN, Aieden and Sebastian Bell of Columbus, GA, and Savannah Valentine of Schomberg, Ontario, Canada and Aunt Inky to many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 17, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlor Chapel in Hinton, WV with Pastor Gary Trout officiating. Burial will follow in the Reed Family Cemetery on Madams Creek. Friends may call at the funeral parlor from 10:00 a.m. until time of services on Saturday.
Grandsons Joshua Frederickson, Nicholas Bell, Justin and Jeremy Reed, son-in-law Ingo Schulz and grand son-in-law Jeremy Mincey will act as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer: grandson, David Frederickson.
