Julia Raines, 94, of Talcott, died April 8, 2012 at the Bowers Hospice House in Beckley.
Born June 17, 1917, at Talcott, she was a daughter of the late Allen Andrew and Sarah Elizabeth Hodge Raines. Julia was a lifelong resident of Summers County.
Preceded in death by three brothers, Charlie "Bud" Raines, James Clifford Raines and Jesse Jack Raines and three sisters, Eva Mae Raines, Maggie Turner and Lucille Kirby.
Survived by two sisters, Ida Garten of Rupert, WV and Pansy Grimmett of Rainelle, WV and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM Saturday, April 14, 2012 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Dana Stalnaker officiating. Burial will follow in the Talcott Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral parlors one hour prior to funeral services.
