Kathleen Geneva Cales, 74, of Green Sulphur Springs went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday December 19, 2012 at the Cabell Huntington Hospital following a sudden illness.
Born February 3, 1938 at Sand Lick, she was a daughter of the late James Wilbur and Sally Gertrude Woods Brown.
Kathleen was a member of the Meadow Bridge Pentecostal Holiness Church, a homemaker and had lived most of her life in Summers Co. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, and especially her church family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Cales Jr.; one son, Rickey Lee Cales; two brothers and seven sisters.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Michael Rae Cales of Walnut Cove, NC, Cathy Sue Cales of Green Sulphur Springs, Walter ?Hank? Cales III and wife Kim of Statesville, NC and Samuel Jay Cales and wife Ina of Statesville, NC; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one brother, Bobby Brown and wife Enid of Ravenswood and one sister, Patricia Snodgrass and husband Kenneth of Arnett.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Saturday, December 22, 2012 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Brothers Mark Spence and Bill Garretson
officiating. Burial will follow in the Cales Cemetery at Clayton. Friends may call at the funeral parlors from 11:00 AM until time of services on Saturday. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
