Kathy Delores Burnett Cales Painter, 57, of Hinton, departed this life on Sunday, November 9, 2008, at the Brier Nursing and Rehab at Ronceverte, where she had been a resident for the past eight years, following a long illness. Born June 22, 1951 at Hinton, she was the daughter of the late John H. and Edha Madalene â??Magâ?? Grimmett Burnett. Kathy was a lifelong resident of Summers Co., and had attended the Hinton Gospel Tabernacle as long as her health permitted. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Everette Carl Painter in 1981, two sisters; Jo Ann Bennett and Sarah Elizabeth Burnett Simmons, and her precious baby boy; Harless David Cales. She is survived by two daughters Beverly Carol Cales Yancey and companion Carlos McPeak of Forest Hill and Renee Lilly and husband Jamie of Pipestem, five grandchildren; Jeremiah David, Matthew Ryan and Mark Collin Yancey all of Forest Hill, Aleah Renee and Ariel Briana Lilly both of Pipestem, one great grandson, Braeden Wayne Sears, three sisters, Brenda Sue Meadows and husband Willard of Forest Hill, Mary Jane Mills and husband Ron of Ohio and Lou Ellen Bragg of Hinton, and several nieces, nephews, cousins and a former son-in-law, Timothy Glen Yancey. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00 A.M. at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel in Hinton with Pastor Lawrence Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in the Cales Cemetery on Chestnut Mt. Friends may call at the funeral parlors from 6-8 P.M. Wednesday. Pallbearers: Jeremiah, Matthew and Mark Yancey, Zeb Mills, Joey Gill, Don Bragg, Cruz Galloway and Brian Huffman.
