Kennamae Anderson Lilly, 88, of Nimitz, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, November 5, 2008 at the Harmony House Adult Care of Lerona, following a long illness. Born May 22, 1920 at Jumping Branch, she was the daughter of the late Willie C. and Edna Richmond Anderson and lived her entire life in Summers Co. She was a member of the Bluestone Baptist Church at Jumping Branch where she had served at Church Clerk, and had been a member of the choir. Kennamae was a 1938 Graduate of Hinton High School. She was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse at the Summers Co. Hospital. She was a member of the Jumping Branch â?? Nimitz Senior Citizens and loved baking, quilting, church functions, traveling and gospel music. Preceded in death by her first husband; Tom Lilly in February of 1968, her second husband; Joseph R. Lilly in August 1984, six brothers; Arleigh, Hilton, Ural, Simmard, Buel and Ober Anderson and four sisters; Dorne Parker, Abilene Gessell, Andora Lilly and an infant sister. Kennamae was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Survived by two sons; Charles L. Lilly of Greenville, SC and James C. â??Jayâ?? Lilly and wife Linda of Nimitz, seven stepchildren; Betty Moye and Josie Lilly of Columbia, SC, Zane Lilly of Hurricane, Bill Lilly of Jumping Branch, Retha Farley of Amelia, OH, Peggy Keaton of Jumping Branch and Dorothy Mock of West Palm Beach, FL, one granddaughter, Susan Lilly and Husband Scott of Byron, GA, one grandson; Chuckie Lilly of Rockingham, NC, seventeen step grandchildren and a special niece and nephew; Melba and Patrick Amick of Nimitz. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday at the Bluestone Baptist Church at Jumping Branch with Pastor Bill Fox officiating. Burial will follow in the Restwood Memorial Gardens at Hinton. Friends may call at the church from 11:00 A.M until funeral time on Saturday. Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations of sympathy be made to the Hospice of Southern West Virginia or the Bluestone Baptist Church.
