Kenneth Jack Cooper, 84, of Ballengee, WV passed away Saturday, November 28, 2015 at Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital.
Born August 4, 1931 at Sandstone he was a son of the late James P. and Grace T. Cooper.
Jack attended War Ridge Free Will Baptist Church and was a member of the Ballengee Farm Club. He was a US Army Veteran and served in the Korean War.
Preceded in death by one brother, Jimmy Cooper; one sister, Helen Jean Cooper and one nephew, Larry Cooper.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Joyce Dobbins Cooper, at home; stepdaughter, Mandy Murrell of Wilmington, FL; stepson, Randy Dobbins of Steadman, NC; 4 stepgrandchildren; 7 stepgrandchildren; nephews, Darrell Cooper and wife Beverly of Sandstone and Buddy and wife B.J. of OK; nieces, Pam Shuck and husband Ronnie of Beckley and Nancy Thomas and husband Doug of Flushing, MI; one sister, Gaye Whitehead of Daniels, 9 great nieces and nephews.
At Jack's request his body was cremated. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 10:00-11:00 A.M. Saturday, December 5, 2015 with a funeral service following at 11:00 A.M. at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Roger Brammer officiating. Burial will follow in the Cooper Cemetery at Sandstone. At his request, in lieu of flowers, please just help someone in need.
