Kenneth Jackson Meadows, 82, of 259 Main St. Hinton, went to be with the Lord on January 4, 2006 surrounded by family and friends, following a long battle with cancer. Born July 15, 1923 in Hinton he was a son of the late Peter and Emma Meadows Meadows. A former employee of the Hinton Hospital and a self-employed painter. Kenneth was a member of the Laurel Creek Baptist Church. Kenneth was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters. Survived by his wife of 41 years, Donna Dee Martin Meadows, four daughters, Bonnie Woody and her husband Timothy of Princeton, Betty Gill and her husband David of Daniels, Melba Woods and her husband Earl of Zion Mt. and Donna Adkins and her husband Doug of Madams Creek; two sons, Michael Meadows and his wife Sunday of Hinton and Pete Meadows and his wife Ashlie of Madams Creek; eleven grandchildren, Sarah Woody, Ashley Gill, Andrea Gill, Jordan Meadows, Elizabeth Pellicano, Emily Pellicano, Shawn Adkins, Kara Adkins, Lynn Mahon, Rebekah Kessler and a special granddaughter Kristina Woods; one sister, Delcie Biars of Hinton; several nieces and nephews including one special niece Shirley Bandy of VA. Funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday January 7, 2006 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Melvin Wills officiating. Burial will follow in the Meadows Family Cemetery. Friends may call from noon till time of the service on Saturday. Gary Farmer, Jimmy Farmer, William Martin, Robert Wills, Michael Wills and Dewey Sears will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers donations of sympathy should be made to the Laurel Creek Baptist Church in memory of Kenneth Meadows.
