Kyle Rudisill, 85 of Forest Hill went home to be with the Lord, August 27, 2010 after a long illness.
Born May 22, 1925 at Wayside, he was the son of the late Glen and Ellen Ballard Rudisill. Kyle attended Tempa Baptist Church, while health permitted, worked for over 40 years for C&O Railway, enjoyed listening to Gospel Music, taking care of all of his animals, and spent many years beautifying the world with his flowers.
Kyle had a reputation as a dedicated, loyal and hard worker. He was loved very much by his family and friends and will be deeply missed by all who knew him along with a dear friend, Paul Carpenter.
Preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Florene Patterson Rudisill; daughter, Regina Cales; three brothers, Roy, Johnny and John Robert Rudisill; grandson, Wayne Edward Mullins and son-in-law, Charles Mullins.
Kyle is survived by his wife, Minnie Marlene Rudisill; three daughters, Bettie Sears and Husband Darrell of Pence Springs, Alice Craig and Husband Gary of Ballard and Wanda Mullins of Green Sulphur; brother, Calvin Rudisill and Wife Mary of Pence Springs; sister, Ann Hedrick and Husband Dale of Wayside; brother, Eddie Rudisill and Wife Lisa of Lowell; step son, Tony Daugherty; two step daughters, Tawana Daugherty of Mt. Hope and Lavonna Daugherty of Beckley.
Kyle is also survived by his grandchildren, Jeff Cales of Alaska, Debbie Skaggs of OH, Kim Parrott of TN, Michelle Piner of VA, Becky Morgan of WV and Susan Knight of WV; step granddaughter, Stephanie of Charleston, who he had the pleasure of sharing the first 13 years of her life and he was proud to have been the one to put her on the school bus for the very first time; very special step grandson, Justin Fernette of Beckley, who together shared many special memories and times together; Kyle had ten great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter and special caregiver, Gloria Harper.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Sunday, August 29, 2010 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Rev. Bobby Reed officiating. Burial will follow at the Wayside Cemetery. Friends may call from 10:00 A.M. until service time on Sunday.
Justin Fernette, Dale Dillon, Paul Carpenter, Bob Cales, Darrell Sears, and Gary Craig will serve as pallbearers.
