Lacy Beacher McBride, 87, of Pipestem fell asleep in death Sunday February 11, 2024 at his home with family by his side following a short illness.
Born April 9, 1936 at Pipestem he was the son of the late Kary Marshall and Lottie Belle Meadows McBride. Lacy was a devoted Jehovah’s Witness since 2013, former construction worker and member of the UMWA. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, working on automobiles and spending time with family and friends.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Gary Wayne McBride, one daughter-in-law, Hazel Browning McBride, one brother, Marvin Douglas McBride, one sister-in-law, Lona Rose McBride, one grandson, Michael Wayne McBride and one granddaughter, Valorie Joe Blankenship.
Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 43 years, Diana Hill McBride; five sons, Larry Dale McBride, Damon Edward McBride and wife Kay, Duane David McBride and companion Valerie, Wayne Blankenship Jr. and wife Denise and Herbert Davis Blankenship and companion Farrah; two daughters, Barbara Lynn McBride Meadows and husband Donnie and Lisa Ellen McBride Snider and husband Larry; two brothers, Clarence “Cubby” McBride and wife Bettie and William Harrison McBride; one sister-in-law, Berta Hunshecker; twenty-six grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren, nine great great grandchildren and several special nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held 1:00 pm Thursday, February 15, 2024 at the Farley Cemetery on River Ridge with Rick Leighton as the speaker. Visitation will be held at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel from 11:00 am until noon prior to departure for the cemetery.
Damon, Eddie, Brandon, Bubby, and Zachary McBride, C.J. Meador and Lee Meadows will serve as pallbearers.
