Lanie Belle Bennett

 Lanie Belle Bennett, 84, of Beckley entered into eternal rest on Monday, January 27, 2025, at Hidden Valley Nursing Home in Oak Hill following a long illness.

 Born June 30, 1940, in Long Bottom she was the daughter of the late Wayman and Stella Adkins Berry.

 Lanie was a cook and homemaker for all her life.

 She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Bobby R. Bennett and grandson, Joshua Bennett as well as three brothers and eight sisters.

 Those left to cherish her memory include a daughter, Betty Fischer and husband Terry of Conway, SC; two sons, Bobby K. Bennett and wife Lisa of Oak Hill and Donald Bennett of True; three grandchildren, Angel Farmer and husband Corey of Elkhorn, KY, PFC Samuel Bennett stationed in Ft. Bliss, TX and Daniel Bennett of Lenoir, NC; a great-grandson, Eli Bennett of Charleston, SC and a great-granddaughter, Abigial Bennett of Meadows of Dan, VA.

 Funeral services will be 5:00 P.M. Thursday, January 30, 2025 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Robbie Merritt officiating. A private family burial will follow at a later date. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until time of services on Thursday at the funeral parlor. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
