Larry Gill

Larry Clay Gill, 61, of Nimitz passed away Tuesday April 9, 2013 at his home following a long illness.
Born February 15, 1952 at Hinton he was the son of the late Otis C. and Jessie Rader Gill. An employee of Briers Furniture Co. for 25 years where he worked in delivery and appliance maintenance, he enjoyed singing, playing music and spending time with his family and friends. Larry gave his heart to the Lord Jesus on Sunday, April 7, 2013 and is now enjoying the glory of heaven.
Preceded in death by his son, Larry Gill Jr. and one grandson, Randy L. Cales.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Sharon Gill of Hinton; two daughters, Melissa Workman and companion Curtis and Kimberly Salmon; two stepchildren, Brian Gill and wife Gail and Kathy Cales; five grandchildren, Brandon Workman, Tea Workman, Brandon Cales, Hannah Sizemore and Kara Ramsey; two great grandchildren, Travis Morton and Savannah Myles; six brothers and sisters, Shirley Sampson and companion Hayward Cales, Patricia Ralbusky and husband Roger, Dinah Palmer and husband Glen, Ivan Gill and wife Becky, Steve Gill and Weldon ?Bear? Gill and wife Sherri and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Friday April 12, 2013 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Chaplain Bobby Meadows and Kenny Martin officiating. At Larry?s request the body will be cremated following the services.
The family would like to express their gratitude for the care that was given to Larry by Hospice of Southern WV and special thanks to Kathy McHenry and Michelle Allen.
