Launa Ballengee

Launa F. Ballengee, 94, of Perkasie, PA, died Sunday, November 6, 2005 at her home, following a short illness. Born February 3, 1911 at Alderson, she was the daughter of the late Clownie W. and Anna Boyd Flint. Mrs. Ballengee was a homemaker and a member of the Bethel Baptist Church at Sellersville, Pa. She was a former resident of Clayton, Hinton and Bellepoint. While living in this area, she was a member of the Bellepoint Baptist Church. She and her family moved from Hinton to Richmond, VA in 1959 when her husband was transferred by the C&O Railroad. Preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Rondeau P. Ballengee in 1986 and one son, Robert Perry Ballengee in 1990. Survived by one daughter, Davina Kay Martin and husband Joe of Perkasie, PA, five grandchildren; Richard Keith Ballengee of Murfreesboro, TN, Patricia Ann Johnson of Ruffsdale, PA, John Richard Martin of Pennsburg, PA, Michael David Martin of Westerville, OH and Jason Andrew Martin of Hagatna, Guam, nine great grandchildren, Wes, Carley, Melanie, and Cristin Johnson, Zachary Grey, Megan Brelynne, Sydney Leigh and Owen Michael Martin and Kelli Warren, and one great great grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors of Hinton with her son-in-law, Joe Martin officiating. Burial will follow in the Restwood Memorial Gardens at Hinton. Friends may call at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors from 1:00 P.M. until funeral time on Friday.
