 Lelia Loreta Roach Martin departed this life for her eternal home on November 20, 2024. Loreta was born on Halloween 1933, to the late Clark Roach and Melinda Bryant in Asbury, WV. She moved to Green Sulphur Springs at the age of 13, where she later met and married her husband, Otis Martin. After his death in 1990, she moved to Dawson and later relocated to Rainelle in 2000. 

 In her youth, Loreta traveled to numerous local churches, singing and playing gospel music with her brothers and sisters. She spent the majority of her life as a farmer’s wife, but also worked at the Rainelle Sewing Plant, and Heartland of Rainelle. Loreta is a member of the Little Sewell Baptist Church in Rainelle. 

 Along with her parents, and husband, Loreta is preceded in death by her brothers, John and Paul; her sisters, Annie and Ollie; daughters, Gladys Ball and Mildred Berry; grandchildren, James and Dawn Gwinn; and son-in-law, Bobby Williams.

 She is survived her daughter, Betty Williams (Joe Simpkins); grandsons, Dwayne Williams (Beth), and David Berry (Chasity); granddaughters, Christy Teaford (Robert), Trecia Thompson (Johnny), Kimberly White (Bill), and Jennifer Berry; and sons-in-law, Reginald Berry and Leon Ball; one sister, Linda Wright of Ohio;  three great grandsons, five great granddaughters, one great great grandson, and two great great granddaughters.

 Services for Loreta will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, November 24, 2024 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Larry Deeds officiating. Family burial will follow at Halidon Cemetery in Green Sulphur Springs. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. Sunday until time of services at the funeral parlors. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, it is requested that gifts of love for Loreta be donations to Hospice of Southern WV, 454 Cranberry Drive, Beckley, WV 25801. The family is forever grateful for the love and care given to Loreta by the Raleigh Center Nursing Home, and the Bowers Hospice House.
