Leona M. "Lee" Shrewsberry

Leona M. Shrewsberry (Lee) 91, of Peterstown, WV passed away January 8, 2025, following a long illness.

Born May 11, 1933, at Indian Mills, she was the daughter of the late Henry H. and Eunice McDowell Shrewsberry.

Lee lived in Indianapolis, Indiana for many years where she worked as a lab technician. She was an avid sports fan and a diehard Colts fan! She retired to Beckley WV where she volunteered at Helping Hands Community Resources and was a member of the United Methodist Temple. She has resided in Peterstown with her niece, Carol Oakes, for the last several years. 

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Edna Faris and Wanda Keatley Foster, three brothers Andrew, Bill and Marshall Shrewsberry and two infant siblings. 

Numerous nieces and nephews survive to cherish her memory. 

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105, in honor of her niece, Emma Gilpin, who is being treated there at this time.
