Leonard Curtis Richmond, 84, of Clayton, died at 9:00 A.M. Sunday at the Brier Nursing Home at Fairlea, following a long illness. Born September 03, 1920 at Judson, he was a son of the late Jacob Thomas and Elizabeth Ann Boone Richmond. A lifelong resident of the Judson-Clayton area who spent most of his life farming and a member of the Elk Knob Baptist Church. Preceded in death by six brothers and two sisters. Survived by one brother, Carrington Richmond of Clayton; one sister, Gertrude McKinney of Hinton; three nephews and four nieces including his caregiver, Thomas Edward Richmond of Lewisburg. Funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday August 24, 2005 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Roger Persinger officiating. Burial will follow in the Elk Knob Cemetery.
