Leonard Mason Sears, 71, of Hinton went to be with the Lord, Friday September 7, 2018 following a long illness.
He was born April 17, 1947 at Hilldale to the late Charlie and Anna May Collins Sears.
Leonard was a graduate of Talcott High School and a US Army Veteran. He was a former butcher at Foodland and had worked at Peerless Packing Company and Jarrell's Exxon.
He was preceded in death by one brother Hershel Lee Sears.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Helen Adkins Sears at home; one daughter, Donna Angell of Hinton; one son, Wayne Sears and wife Crystal of Hinton; one son in law, Scott Angell; four grandchildren, Ashley Payne and husband George, Samantha Angell, Michael Angell and Matthew Butler; three great grandchildren, Braeden Khali and Pyper Payne; a special relative Donna Kesner, whom he considered a daughter; and two special cousins, Brenda Adkins and Roger (Corky) Collins and wife Ann of Pasedena, MD.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, September 10, 2018 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Robbie Merritt officiating. Burial will follow in the Upland Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. until time of services on Monday at the funeral parlors.
Pallbearers will be Billy Adkins, Scott Angell, Matthew Butler, Dorsey Blackburn, George Payne and Michael Angell. Honorary pallbearers are Danny Adkins, Bobby Adkins and Curtis Adkins.
