Leslie Iddings

Leslie H. Iddings, 94, of Marie, passed away Thursday, November 11, 2004 in Rocky Mount, VA, following a short illness. Born May 28, 1910, he was the last surviving child of Giles W. and Ollie Hoeback Iddings. Mr. Iddings was a U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII and had worked as a Carpenter and Construction Worker throughout Summers and surrounding counties. Preceded in death by his wife, Zula Hudson Iddings and a daughter, Bonnie Iddings. Survived by one daughter, Lois Welch and husband Milford of Rocky Mount, VA; three grandchildren, Randy Welch of Kernersville, NC, Bob Welch and wife Crissy of Scott Depot and Cindy Doucette of McLean, VA; two great grandchildren, Oak Leslie Welch and Brooke Ivy Welch ,one sister-in-law, Carrie Davis and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday at the New Hope United Methodist Church at Marie, with Pastor Sam Haught officiating. Burial will follow in the New Hope Cemetery. Friends may call at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel in Hinton from 6-8 P.M. Saturday and at the Church one hour prior to services.
