Lewis W. Richmond, 49, of True went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, June 9, 2012 at his home following a long illness.
Born March 9, 1963 at Peterstown, WV he was a son of James Lewis ?Jim? and Mildred Lois Jones Richmond of Ballengee.
Lewis was a carpenter and construction worker and had lived all of his life in Summers Co. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, wood working and spending time with his friends and family.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Charles and Mary Richmond; maternal grandparents, Nathan and Glendora Jones and a father in law, John Lucas.
Besides his parents, those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 30 years, Kathy Richmond at home; two daughters, Danielle Richmond and companion Dave Anderson of Shady Spring and Kristen Richmond of True; one sister, Susan Steitz and husband David of N.C.; two brothers, Larry Richmond of Ballengee and Greg Richmond of N.C.; one niece, Tera Stanley of N.C.; one nephew, Justin Richmond and wife Heather of Wayside; great nephew and great niece, Gabriel and Lakin Richmond of Wayside and his mother in law, Lynn Lucas of True.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Rev. Benny Peyton officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery at Ballengee. Friends may call at the funeral parlors from 6-8 P.M. on Tuesday. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
