Lloyd Whitlock

Mr. Lloyd M. Whitlock, 85, of 414 Greenbrier Dr., Hinton, died Friday, March 13, 2009, following a sudden heart attack. Born April 18, 1923 at Hinton, he was the son of the late Stanley A. and Nola Mae Angell Whitlock. Lloyd was the Manager of Hinton Builders and Supply Co. where he retired after many years of dedicated service. A graduate of Hinton High School, active and dedicated member of First Baptist Church where he served as treasurer and deacon and enjoyed being a member of the choir, a veteran of the United States Army who served his country during World War II, and a member of the Hinton Masonic Lodge #62 AF&AM. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Betty Lou Lilly Whitlock, one son; Dr. Thomas Whitlock and wife Jeanie of Streetsboro OH, one brother; W. Lee Whitlock and wife Alta of El Cajon, CA and one sister; Norma Ree Jennings of Sun Lakes, AZ, four grandchildren; Debi Talkington and husband Dave, Rick Shultz, Gary Shultz and wife Rhonda and Julie Balliette and husband Kirk, seven great grandchildren, Ashley, Brandon, Samantha, Jenna, Sunny, Lindsey and Cameron and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at the First Baptist Church of Hinton with Pastors Ronald L. Cobb and Sonny Angell officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Zion Methodist Church Cemetery near Hinton. Friends may call from 5-8 P.M. on Monday at the First Baptist Church in Hinton. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
