Logan Joshua Hartwell, six day old infant son of Austin Hartwell and Ashley Carver of Pipestem was carried to heaven on wings of Angels Tuesday May 3, 2011 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
Born April 28, 2011 at 2:45 p.m. at Roanoke Memorial Hospital, Logan weighed 1 pound 12.9 ounces and was 13 ¼ inches long. Logan began his battle for life as a precious little star in the dark night, made with God?s care. God?s love was shown through you the day you were born and the beauty and joy you gave us was far too beautiful for earth. Those that are left behind must realize that God would never lose you since angels are hard to find.
Preceding him in death are his paternal great-grandmothers, Elizabeth ?Libby? Hartwell and Agnes Adkins.
Besides his parents those left to cherish his memory are his twin brother, Levi Thomas Hartwell; paternal grandparents, Doug and Ruth Hartwell of True; maternal grandparents, Cary Shepherd and husband Jammie of Princeton, and Roger Carter of Georgia; three uncles, Joshua Hartwell, Thomas Ducket and Seth Stanford; three aunts, Jen Carver, Sarah Stanford and Samantha Carver; paternal great grandfathers, Bill Hartwell and Daniel Adkins; maternal great grandmothers, Mary Carver and Carolyn Curnut; maternal great grandfather, Max Rodenbarger; maternal great grand parents Phyllis and Matthew Panashy and numerous other family members that dearly loved him.
Funeral services will be 2 P.M. Monday, May 9, 2011 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Dallas Peyton officiating. Burial will follow in the Yancey Cemetery at Zion Mountain. Friends may call from noon until time of services Monday at the funeral parlor.
