Lois "Louise" Tabor

 Lois “Louise” Tabor, 81, of Talcott passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at Raleigh General Hospital following a long illness.

 Born July 28, 1943 at Marsh Fork, Boone County she was a daughter of the late Charles R. and Ruby Irene Davis Riffe.

 Louise was a Dietary Supervisor at Summers County Continuous Care Center and Greenbrier Manor. She was a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church and attended Indian Mills Baptist Church. Lois was also a member of the John Henry Day Committee. She enjoyed going to the WV State Fair where she was the Awards Director for horse shows and spending time with her family and friends. Louise was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

 She was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Willard Riffe and Joe Freddy Riffe.

 Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 45 years, Warren Tabor; two sons, Dennis L. McClure and wife Kristen of PA and Eric Tabor and wife Kimberly of Talcott; six grandchildren, Sarah McClure, Grace McClure, Dustin Barnett, Madison Gayle Tabor, Charles Michael Tabor and Lane Allen Tabor; special friends, Susan and Rich Hottle and several nieces, nephews, cousins and special in laws.

 Memorial services will be 7:00 P.M. Monday, January 27, 2025 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Speaker Joe Yancey officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00 P.M. until time of services on Monday at the funeral parlors. At Louise’s request her body has been cremated. The family requests to follow Louise’s request that there be no flowers. In lieu of flowers donations of sympathy may be made to Hospice of Southern WV, 456 Cranberry Drive, Beckley, WV 25801.
