Lona Ann McBride of Pipestem, our beloved wife and mother died early Saturday morning October 1, 2011 at Summers County ARH Hospital.
Born October 15, 1940 in Raleigh County to her parents James Layton and Jesse Blanche Rose, a lifelong resident of Summers County she was a homemaker who loved to cook and care for her family as well as making crafts and floral designs.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Rebecca Gail Phillips; brother, James Roger Rose and granddaughter, Leandra Belle Graves.
She is survived by husband of 52 years, William Harrison McBride; Children, William Jay McBride and wife Kathy Lynn, Lora Katherine McBride and husband Wesley Preston Adams, Jr., Ronald Lee McBride, Donna Sue McBride Weikle, Sherry LuAnn Graves and husband David Alan, Jr.; Grandchildren, Erica Michelle McBride, Joshua Lee McBride, Stacey Nicole McBride, Jeremy Arron McBride, Shawn Keith Weikle, Cendra Dawn Weikle, Jordan Nathaniel Graves, Madison Brooke Graves and Shayden Burton William Lilly; Great Grandson, Cristian Jagger Richmond; Siblings - Betty June McBride and husband Clarence, Margaret Sue Phillips and husband Hobert, Jackson Wayne Rose and wife Nancy, David Layton Rose and Carl Lee Rose.
Lona was one of Jehovah?s Witnesses and attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah?s Witnesses in Hinton, WV. Funeral Services will be held at Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel on Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. with Mr. Rick Leighton officiating. Burial will follow in the McBride Family Cemetery at Pipestem. Friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral parlors.
